Here are a bunch of old Hallowe'en costumes I've made over the last ten years or so. They all came from my Facebook page, but I thought it would be nice to share them here, since I have such delightfully geeky friends who might appreciate the work that went into them.

Terrible photo quality, sorry. This is the first of a three year "Taped Avenger" series I did. The entire outfit is duct tape, with electrical tape embellishments. I loved having purple hair. 2002

Taped Avengers! Husband and I made costumes together and entered a contest at the local pub. We won an electric scooter as first prize! Husband's hat took forever to finish, and he wore the sexiest bike shorts under his duct tape chaps... mmmm. 2003

God I had such a flat belly seven years ago... :(

As Hedwig Robinson from one of my all-time fave movies Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Here's the specific clip I took the outfit from, near the end of the movie when Hedwig has her nervous breakdown and grand apiphany. (It gets good about two mins in):

Here's the final incarnation of The Taped Avenger. I still have this costume in the basement. It still looks AWESOME.

Here's the second generation of the Diva Plavalaguna from the Fifth Element. I may have posted this before, I don't remember.

Sadly I have no really great pictures of this costume. Considering how much time I spent on it, I really should have had someone take more photos. In my current pregnant state I won't fit it for at least a year. Ugh.

Two years ago I made my three-month-old daughter a caterpillar and I was a "butterfly". I was sleep deprived and didn't put my usual effort in, although the wings were a huge amount of work.

Last year we did a theme costume series again. Zoë was the White Rabbit, Husband was the Mad Hatter and I was the Queen of Hearts.
Husband and daughter:

please don't judge my messy home

And, of course, a drunken pumpkin:

Well, that concludes the highlights of my past Hallowe'ens. Hope you enjoyed. It sure got me inspired!

Did you make your daughter's bunny suit? It's adorable.

I got it second hand, and put a suit vest and pants over it. She even had a little pocket watch!
